2025 is filled with nostalgia and surprises. With the recent launch of Gundam Card Game, the player base has increased significantly, prompting BANDAI to announce numerous events featuring demos and special tournaments. During the latest livestream, Bandai announced that it will hold its very 1st Japanese Regional Tournaments, and the prizes have been revealed, including something that those who are fans of the Gundam Wing series will love.

According to the tournament heads of the card game, an exclusive Japanese regional tournament called the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 25-26 Area Qualifiers will begin this September. This tournament is open to those who have been selected through advanced applications through BANDAI TCG+.
It will be held at large venues across Japan. Upon joining, players will receive a random promo pack as seen above.

For the top 128 players who participated they will receive an alternate art of Herro Yuy Pilot Card. The top 4 players will receive not only the pilot card but also, a limited edition Wing Gundam Zero Playmat, and Champion will receive exclusively an all-new Alternative Art version of Wing Gundam Zero from GD01 Newtype Rising.
Aside from that, there will be side events such as Newtype Challenge, First Combat tournaments, and more will be held if there are those who aren’t able to make it to the World Championship.
Bandai TCG Announces Apology Tweet
On the official X post of Gundam Card Game, the developers said and quote;
“Regarding various products of the “Gundam Card Game,” we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback beyond our expectations, resulting in a shortage of stock. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers. We will continue to strengthen our production system to ensure that more people can enjoy our products.”
