Gundam Evolution Producer Kazuya Maruyama recently shared the big changes that are coming to Season 3 in a new blog post.
Maruyama recently revealed some changes and fixes that are coming to the popular free-to-play online multiplayer game Gundam Evolution. Many players have been asking the developers for the changes that will be coming later and this is where Maruyama shared their answers.
The first change that the developers plan to implement is reducing the penalties for casual matches to make them more “casual” and enjoyable. Many were asking the developers to remove it altogether but they believed it encouraged more players to leave the game in the middle of a round. So, they concluded to reduce the penalties instead of completely removing them.
The producer revealed there are still forced client terminations happening across all platforms. Maruyama assured everyone that they are continuing to fix these issues and improve the game with each maintenance they do.
Maruyama asked everyone to report every error they could find so they could look into it and fix the problems right away.
It was confirmed that there were some issues in matching in certain areas and time zones like in North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as in some rank zones. Maruyama apologized for the inconvenience and offered to share their plans for the next update. They are planning to add new service areas and make adjustments in the future to ensure proper matching. The developers are also planning to implement more campaigns to expand the player base further and to make ongoing improvements to the matching system.
Capital will be available at levels 18 and 58 with 1,000 CP each and another 2,000 CP after completing all the Beginner Challenges. 2,000 CP will be available later for unlocking one unit in the upcoming Winter Campaign.
Players can earn various customization items in an upcoming event called the Exolimit in the Winter Campaign.
For some miscellaneous changes, Maruyama revealed some. It was revealed that unlocked units will be practicable later on. The kill camera function is being considered for now and cannot share a definite date for its implementation. Lastly, the team is working on the implementation of customizable items to see what kind of items they prefer for the worldwide market.
After the launch, the team received various skin designs and item suggestions from both fans and non-fans. The developers are now talking with the supervisors of licensors to make this happen.
Lastly, Maruyama promises to add more updates and that starts in Season 3 update in February 2023.
Gundam Evolution is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
