IO Interactive has announced that Hitman 3 PC will be getting a new upgrade that will improve its visuals to the next level.
Hitman 3 PC Gets Ray Tracing
With patch 3.110, PC players will be able to enjoy realtime ray tracing on May 24, 2022. This will introduce higher quality reflections and shadows in the game. All locations in the World of Assassination will benefit from this new feature.
To enable ray tracing, players only need to go to the Graphics menu under Options in the main menu of the game. Players can find separate toggles for enabling ray traced reflections and shadows. When this gets enabled, the Reflection Quality options will show up and they can control the reflection quality. It should be enabled first before starting a mission.
For lower end hardware, players need to use low or medium Reflection Quality. By lowering reflection quality, it can greatly improve performance, but the results in reflections will have fewer details and occasional popping of small objects.
Hitman 3 PC Gets Adaptive Supersampling
With the upcoming update, it will add support for Adaptive Supersampling like Nvidia DLSS and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0. It is recommended to enable DLSS or FSR when using ray tracing.
