The trophy run for this game is… interesting. It’s not exactly a walk in the park, nor are you required to unlock every single unlockable to get Platinum. There is a certain amount of luck involved with some of the trophies, but as long as you focus on getting all Shreds of Hope and Boss trophies, the rest will unlock naturally as you play. I can’t really put an exact estimate on when you’ll likely finish your trophy run, as there’s a lot of luck involved. But it’s fair to say that you have a good shot after crossing the 15-hour mark.
Now, let’s talk about the Shreds of Hope. These items are important to unlocking the game’s true ending and unlocking the Peace Out trophy. To get Shreds of Hope, you’ll need fulfill these character requirements.
- Chance: Acquired after defeating Mare the first time.
- Aama: Acquired after reaching the point in her conversation line where she asks you to converse with Eema twice. It also includes finding all 35 of her lost Dicelings.
- Rack: Acquired after buying all available weapons and finding Rack’s heart at the end of Pawnsbury.
- The Rug Reader: Acquired after speaking with her while wearing a full Hero’s Return costume set.
- The Old Child: Acquired after speaking with him while wearing a full Sixers’ costume set.
- The Visionary: Acquired after returning all lost memories and collecting all other Shreds of Hope from the characters in Sanctuary.
- Sophia Firbase: Acquired after speaking to her after she arrives in Sanctuary.
- Cee Alot: Acquired after speaking with him after he arrives in Sanctuary.
- Dots: Acquired after finding all 35 lost Dicelings.
- The Formageddon: Acquired after beating him multiple times and exhausting his conversation line.
- Mannie Chex: Acquired after exhausting her conversation line after multiple runs in the games.
Don’t worry about who to rescue or when they’ll make themselves known to you. Just keep playing through the games, and they’ll eventually show themselves sooner or later.
The It’s A Trap trophy can take you a while to unlock if you don’t focus on it right away. The best way to unlock it right away is to equip Helleven’s Hammer with the complete Blunt Force Karma track and knock enemies into spikes 25 times, and have the spikes kill them.
The Deadly Concoction trophy is easily doable if you equip a weapon with an elemental attribute, the right card attack, and the right relics.
Most of the boss trophies are very much doable if you are very much prepared to tackle them one by one. It is advised that you try to accomplish the boss trophies in the vanilla dungeon run. You can challenge yourself with Sigils of Misfortune runs, but it should be noted that bosses in the vanilla dungeon do not have additional move sets that may complicate the run.
The Untouchable trophy is easily acquired if you have the Painless Lessons blessing. With this blessing equipped, Aleks ignores the first damage taken in encounters.
In my experience, the Relatively Unharmed, Slippery Toad, and Healthy Deconstruction trophies are very doable if you learn all the boss patterns. They employ around 3-4 moves, and you should be able to see most attacks coming after enough runs. Additionally, you can have the Sevendipidy Striker equipped with the full Haunting Presence upgrade track to maintain a relatively safe distance. Do note that you cannot spam the Charge Attack as the Ghast disappears when the next shot is fired.
Mare the Knight trophies are the hardest ones to get, even on Vanilla settings. The “easiest” one is the Anti Cardist trophy. Just don’t pick up the Card at the start of the run and ignore all other cards that appear, and then defeat Mare. Weapon Practice is up next. Just beat Mare with all four weapons and you’ll unlock this one. The ‘A Living Nightmare’ is going to take some considerable timing. Mare’s attacks are very much predictable, but it may be in your best interest to burst him down as quickly as possible. Also, watch out for his stage 3 attacks. Be patient and watch those sword combos.
Obtaining the Peak Performance trophy requires you to buy all of Aama’s blessings, regardless of whether or not they are active. It’s going to take a good number of complete runs to get all the Pip Dust necessary for all the blessings. Prioritizing Pip Dust over Cinder rewards will go a long way in getting you closer to your goal.
The only advice I have for the Bingo Beast trophy is to attach 2 relics and/or pearls on the extreme ends of the grid. Once you apply the last relic/pearl at the center of the grid, you’ll instantly unlock the trophy. Interesting note: Doing it this way will increase your booster by 100 in one go.
The Deal with The Devil trophy is pretty much impossible to get during vanilla runs. Your best bet is to look for their rooms during Sigil of Misfortune runs, particularly higher-tier ones. The Fixer Upper trophy, on the other hand, might require a little RNG. The easiest way to get this one is to activate the boosters from a Relic that has 3 different dyes. Applying the 4th dye and matching its line will seal the deal.
Of the two pure RNG trophies, the On a Roll trophy could be harder to get. The High Roller trophy is instantly unlocked if you roll a six during that challenge. The board-style dice challenge is very tricky. There are 12 spaces in total, and rolling two sixes will end the challenge immediately. Your best bet is to get low numbers and pray that there are rewards on these spaces. You will get it eventually, but Lady Luck takes the wheel every time you toss Fortune.
And finally, you can get the Roll in The Hole trophy by tossing Fortune into the abyss. Don’t worry, she’ll find a way back as she always does. It might be a good way to blow some steam if you’re having a bad run.
And that’s everything I’ve got for this Lost in Random The Eternal Die trophy guide. For my thoughts on the game, why don’t you check out my glowing review of this charming spin-off title?
