Marvel’s Midnight Suns Delayed with No New Release Date

In a surprising twist today, upcoming video game Marvel’s Midnight Suns delayed to within later this fiscal year, 2K and Firaxis have announced.

In its recent earnings call, 2K stated that the supposedly upcoming game based on Marvel characters with XCOM gameplay will not be released this coming October 2022. This was the only triple-A game announced to release that month.

Firaxis Announces Delay on Twitter

According to the statement released on the game’s Twitter account, Firaxis has also come to the conclusion to move the launch of the game to a later date. The statement says, “After the discussion with the team, we’ve made the decision to move back the launch timing of Marvel’s Midnight Suns to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience for our fans.”

Next-Gen Releases First

It is confirmed that Marvel’s Midnight Suns will launch later this fiscal year, which means it could be later this year or by the end of March 2023. It will still be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. The PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions will be released at a later date.

More Time for Improvements

According to the team, they will use the extra time to make sure that they will deliver the best possible experience for everyone. Many fans are definitely disappointed after hearing this but others are hopeful the game will be improved further with the extra time. They do not mind the delay even.
