Mecha Break Announces New Open Beta Test Alongside Updates Featured Image

Mecha Break is the next multiplayer mecha game to come out soon and fans are giving their high praises on the content and combat system of the game. Til now, fans are eagerly waiting for the full release and now, the developers revealed a new trailer and announced a wonderful surprise for all mecha fans out there.

Mecha BREAK Open Beta Test Preview

On the official YouTube channel of Mecha Break, they announced that a new open beta test will be launched this coming August 9, 2024. Upon the reveal of the trailer, new updates, and added features were implemented into the game, and below are the key points that they will need to know:

  • 5 new maps were added to the game. These stages can be selected from the beta test and have been fully rendered for playing. The 5 maps that have been added are:
    • Gracelynn Skycity
    • Eye of Misra
    • Kraub Sinkhole
    • Mercury shipyards
    • Cape Blanc Observatory

Mecha Break: Combat Updates

New Combat Updates were also added to the game and fans will be static on what new features can be used on their mechas as they pilot them and clash with other players online.

  • Dash System
    • Additional energy can be used to enhance dashing and ascending performance. A complete dash will be executed once the energy is consumed even when the energy is depleted.
  • Energy
    • Energy can no longer be restored during consumption. Increased energy regen rate for all Striker-type units
  • Hover
    • Pressing Space for hovering now uses more energy but increases speed. The energy cost for hover dashes is significantly increased with enhanced air dash speed.
  • Descend
    • Increased free fall speed has been applied for all Striker-type units. Improved response speed for Fast Landing and optimized Fast-landing action for certain types of units have been applied as well
  • Target Lock-on
    • Increased lock-on range for all mechs

Mecha Break: Melee Mechanics

New combat attacks have been added that make the game more competitive and diverse. Seeing how these combat actions will truly make a great highlight reel for many players including myself.

  • Dash Attack Update
    • Direction can be adjusted during a dash attack and other weapons can be used as well
  • Downward Cleave Update
    • Downard Cleaves can now knock targets back and will deal damage to Fluid Armor
  • Combat Action Update
    • Melee Strikers will engage in more varied parry actions during close encounters

Mecha Break: Combat Special Effects

New updates and new visual effects have also been implemented in ways to make the game colorful and exciting. The updates that were added show how detailed and dedicated the developers are in ensuring that this game is what the fans want

  • Ballisitic Attack Upgraded Visuals
  • Missile Attack Upgraded Visuals
  • Energy Attack Upgraded Visuals

Mecha Break: New Features

Before Mecha Break had a closed beta test and had some of the most basic features that any player can find in an online multiplayer team game. But now Mecha Break has been given new additional features that can help improve its status as a big-time multiplayer mecha game for all. The features that were added are the following:

  • Manual Aiming Toggle
    • Added a toggle to enable/ disable auto lock when using sniper weapons with customizable key bindings
  • Melee Finishers
    • After defeating an enemy in battle, Melee Strikers can interact with the wreckage to perform finishers.
  • Kill Taunts
    • Pilots will receive a special video communication from the opposing pilot after being defeated in combat

Mecha Break: Weaponry Update

New weapons have been added to the game giving a wide selection to players to determine what type of pilot they should be when riding their mechs. Do they want to be a vanguard-type, scout-type, melee-specialist, sniper, or even strategic-type of pilot? The weapons that have been added are:

  • Heavy Assault Howitzer
    • This is an upgraded version of the Howitzer that can perform rapid-fire attacks and features a large caliber barrel that is effective in suppressing targets
  • Boomerang Drone
    • The Emitter has been replaced with Boomerang Drone which acts like a homing missile that pursues and slices locked targets, delivering relentless and oppressive attacks.
  • Rocket Pod
    • A weapon that fires heavy rockets at a target dealing area damage
  • Rapid Rocket Pod
    • An upgraded version of a rocket pod that continuously fires heavy rockets at enemy units
  • Jamming Haze Diffuser
    • A device that cloaks allies, chances fluid armor regeneration, reduces energy damage taken and disrupts enemy fire control within a range
  • Turret Form
    • A mech transforms and becomes stationary. It greatly increases lock-on range, releases Stasis Field Drones, and confining enemy mech’s movement
  • Mirco Missiles
    • Fires a barrage of missiles at a locked target but requires mechs that have turret forms.

Mecha Break Beta Access Announcement

According to the developers of the game, they are pleased to announce that the Mecha Break game is almost complete and would like to thank their fans for their full support. Because of this, they have announced that there will be an Open Beta Access to the game coming this August 9 and will end on August 13, 2024. Those who wish to join this beta test can sign up on their official website.

Aside from that, there will be Twitch Drops available starting from August 2 to August 8 as this will give players a chance to gain early access to the game.

Mecha Break is set to be released soon for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).
