Microsoft Flight Simulator’s World Update 20: Japan is one of the biggest updates yet, delivering a stunning expansion of the country’s landscapes and landmarks. This free update adds 23 new photogrammetry areas, covering over 20,000 square kilometers of Japan’s most iconic regions.

Players can now explore highly detailed recreations of major cities including Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, Sapporo, and Tokyo. The update also introduces five handcrafted airports and 67 new points of interest (POIs). Highlights include Osaka Castle, one of Japan’s most significant historical landmarks, and Fukuoka Tower, the tallest seaside tower in the country.

Alongside the world update, Microsoft also introduced a new Local Legend aircraft: the NAMC YS-11, developed by the Nihon Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation. This iconic Japanese turboprop airliner adds another authentic touch to the simulator’s expanding fleet.

    • World Update 20: Japan – Free for all Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 players.
    • Local Legend: NAMC YS-11 – Available now in the in-sim marketplace for $19.99.

With breathtaking detail and cultural landmarks, Japan has never looked better in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The sky is calling—time to explore Japan like never before.
