Koei Tecmo America has announced the launch of the Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series, the game bundles two of the most favorite classic titles. First up is the original Monster Hunter that came out in 1997 and the second is Monster Rancher, which launched in 1999. This new bundle brings both titles to the modern hardware for the first time.
Aside from the two titles, this new bundle includes the ability to choose the music for the players’ monsters when getting born. They can choose from an online database that has several tracks and assign them to the monsters that are going to be born. Fight with your monsters and train them to compete against other creatures in combat and tournaments.
Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX includes the compete versions of the game with new content that the original titles did not have. It includes additional save slots, Freeze slots, Monster Hall of Fame slots, and 27 new monsters. It also has the Fast Forward mode to speed up gameplay and the Training Records to help other players raise monsters properly.
Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is now available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch on digital, and iOS. Our Sirus Gaming resident reviewer says, “Overall, Monster Rancher 1 and 2 DX is a fine addition for both veterans and newcomers alike.”
