Mortal Kombat 1 Brings Back Popular Feature

NetherRealm is going to bring back a very popular feature to Mortal Kombat 1 that punishes certain players.

Introduced first in Mortal Kombat X this popular feature would punish players for quitting the game in the middle of a fight. The Quitality is a finishing move that will only happen during online matches. This would punish players who display no sportsmanship during fights and embarrass them with this gruesome death.

Mortal Kombat 1 Brings Back Quitality

The first one to discover this feature is Twitter user Ketchup. “10 minutes into the MK1 Stress Test and I’ve already had my first Quitality,” says Ketchup. “it’s good to be back?”

In order for a Quitality to work, players will need to be playing Mortal Kombat matches. If the opponent or the player itself quits in the middle of the match, the body will explode. It is like a suicide attack only that it works in online matches.

    Quitality Punishes Quitters

Quitality was present in Mortal Kombat X and now Mortal Kombat 1. Mortal Kombat 11 did not have this feature, which was a bummer as this method signifies how much of a coward the other player was.

Ketchup was able to experience this during the MK1 Stress Test.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19, 2023 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
