Mortal Kombat 1 Live Action Trailer Released

Mortal Kombaaaaaat!

NetherRealm Studios has recently released the new Mortal Kombat 1 live-action trailer.

The new Mortal Kombat 1 live-action trailer is titled In Our Blood and it features the retired pro wrestler and well-known action Dave Bautista. He enters the scene in a library where he comes in and suddenly exclaims at one of the library readers. The boy acknowledges what Bautista says and replied “Mortal Kombat” too. This continues until he and a number of people arrive at the street.

The video ends with everyone in the trailer shouting “Mortal Kombat!”.

Fans who have seen various TV ads of Mortal Kombat throughout the ages might be familiar with the way the new trailer was shot. Numerous people rushing out of offices, restaurants, homes, and other buildings to get out and begin Mortal Kombat. This actually pays homage to the original TV ad in the 90s which had the same theme. Since it is now the beginning of a new era, the new ad actually makes a full circle.

“The original Mortal Monday commercial earmarked the beginning of our journey into making games for home gaming systems,” Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon said. “It’s amazing to pay homage to such a memorable moment in Mortal Kombat history as we get ready to launch our newest game, Mortal Kombat 1.”

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 14, 2023 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
