New Extended Assassin’s Creed Mirage Gameplay Video Shows More Assassinations

More and more and more assassinations. Old school style.

Ubisoft has recently released a new extended Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay video showcasing more assassinations this time.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Extended Gameplay Trailer Focusing on Assassinations

After the reveal of a new BTS video of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and a preview of its new gameplay, Ubisoft now returns with a new gameplay video focusing more on the assassinations that this new Hidden One, Basim, does in the streets of Baghdad. Just like what the developers revealed last time, parkour has now returned to the classic Assassin’s Creed games and tweaked them for the better.

Avoiding Pursuers and Hiding

In the first scene, Basim is shown climbing the walls and walking on a rope while stalking his target. After assassinating him with his wristblade, he escapes his pursuers by toppling a pillar and running away as fast as possible. After dodging arrows from archers atop buildings, he finally slips away and enters one of the bureaus that the Hidden Ones have liberated. Inside, he is greeted by his master and other compatriots of the cause.

Bureaus and Shops

Aside from the Hidden Ones, an NPC is shown who offers various weapons that can distract, induce sleep, create smokescreen, and other useable effects for lessening the danger when infiltrating heavily guarded locations. The items shown with its effects were the blow dart, the smokescreen ball, and the poison trap.

New Strange Gameplay Mechanic

Lastly, there was a new mechanic that other AC games did not have. It seemed to show Basim using an artifact to quickly assassinate multiple targets all at once without alerting anyone. It had the same effect as the Templars using the Apple. The “unique” skill seems to only work once and might need a long cooldown before it can be used again, but it was not clear in the trailer so this would need further clarification in future videos.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is clearly a return to the classic AC games with this new trailer and hopefully, there are more improvements but still keeping faithful to the original gameplay.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 12, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
