Since Death Stranding didn’t show at E3 2017 this year, according to an interview with PlayStation Executive, Shawn Layden, from Telegraph confirms that Hideo Kojima’s upcoming title is already playable on PS4.
“It’s up and running, it’s been aided tremendously after Kojima-san decided to co-opt the Decima Engine from Guerrilla Games. And, gosh, that really gave him a leg up to get up and running and test it and have some prototype levels running. I have actually played some of it. It actually exists.” Shawn told Telegraph.
Telegraph also asked Shawn if it did also live up to its hype, and the PlayStation Executive said “All that and more!”. With Death Stranding running on Guerrilla Games’ Decima engine that powered Horizon: Zero Dawn, we’ll expect the same quality and even some improvements with the engine itself.
We can expect something more about Death Stranding at Tokyo Game Show 2017 or even at PlayStation Experience this December.
