PowerWash Simulator VR Announced; No Plans for PS VR2

FuturLab and nDreams have recently announced PowerWash Simulator VR for Meta Quest 2.

    PowerWash Simulator VR Announced

Announced recently at the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, the VR version of the super-soothing simulator will feature a 1:1 power washer control and a full suite of base game content. The game will be available on Meta Quest 2 later this year. This will bring all of the good clean fun and base game content from the smash hit PC and console versions while adding an extra layer of immersion and interactivity to busting dirt, through the power of VR.

    FuturLab Collaborates with VR Veterans

FuturLab has collaborated with VR veterans nDreams to bring PowerWash Simulator to the VR world. nDreams are known for its titles like Phantom: Covert Ops and the upcoming Ghostbusters: Rise of the GhostLord.

    Clean Dirt in VR

Players will be wielding the power washer and blasting away grime feels even more satisfying in PowerWash Simulator thanks to precise 1:1 control that makes even the dirtiest of jobs a breeze. They are able to get physical and tackle hard-to-reach dirty spots like never before by stretching up, kneeling, and leaning into every nook and cranny or sitting back and taking the pressure off by washing their troubles away in the super-soothing simulator.

“PowerWash Simulator has always been about putting relaxation and satisfaction into the hands of the players. Now with PowerWash Simulator VR we are pleased to be able to make this happen not only figuratively, but literally!” said Chris Mehers, COO at FuturLab. “A VR version of the game has been highly requested by the community since early on in development, so we are excited to finally be able to announce this news.”

“Working with FuturLab to bring such a popular IP to VR has been a blast,” said David Corless, VP of Publishing at nDreams. “PowerWash Simulator naturally lends itself to what VR does best – immersion, interaction and fictional teleportation. We can’t wait for the Quest audience to experience the pure joy of PowerWash Simulator VR for themselves”

    No PS VR2 Plans

While this is a VR game, PowerWash Simulator VR developers have no plans to put this game on PS VR2. According to a post on Discord via ResetEra, it was revealed that the game will be on Meta Quest 2 for now. There will be no plans to move the VR version to PS VR. There is a hint there that it could be coming to the PlayStation VR platform at some point, but it could be at a later time.
