Surprise! Sony Interactive Entertainment just released today a new PS3 firmware update for the classic console.
The PlayStation 3 might be 17 years old already, but it seems Sony has not abandoned it just yet. Out of nowhere, a new firmware update got released to the world, which now brings it to version 4.90. What did it bring to the console though?
According to the official website, the notes still say the same thing, just like in many, MANY system firmware updates: “This system software update improves system performance.” That’s it, nothing else.
We do know that the update is 200 mb in file size. Since it is just a small update, it could be just small bug fixes that would make the console stabilize more.
