Sony Interactive Entertainment recently released the popular PS5 classic Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on Steam a few days ago. Still, it seemed to have flopped despite getting good feedback from critics.
PS5 Classic PC Steam Debut Flops Hard
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is one of the most famous PS5 games to launch with the new-gen console a few years ago. It gained many sales due to its beautiful visuals and fast, quick gameplay due to the power of the PS5’s SSD storage. It did not have any loading screens because it automatically transferred from one place to another with the help of SSD hardware. While everyone was quite happy with the PS5 results, it seems the new version of the game on PC is not that good due to some certain changes.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Low Player Count on Steam
When the game was released on Steam on July 26, 2023, it, unfortunately, did gain a lot of players at that time. It was revealed by Dexerto that it only peaked at 8,757 concurrent players even though it has gained a lot of good reviews from various critics.
PlayStation Games on PC Not Doing Well
It seems Sony is struggling to gain any major success for PC games and now Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart releasing on Steam has joined the list. It has also become the third worst PC launch for PlayStation. While various PlayStation games have gotten success on the PlayStation consoles, they have failed to do so on another platform, which is on PC.
Here are the top 5 games with the highest concurrent player count on Steam to date:
- God of War – 73,529K
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered – 66,436K
- Horizon Zero Dawn – 56,557K
- The Last of Us Part I – 36,496K
- Days Gone – 27,450K
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is now available on PC.
