In the latest Sony gaming-related rumors, the PS5 might be coming this year. Rumors also say that the virtual reality hardware will be created at a silicon level.
PS5 might have 2018 launch
According to some sources, the next iteration of the popular console from Sony might finally have a 2018 release date. They claim that this is true due to the number of developer kits being given out right now.
Upcoming console details, VR tech will be marvelous
The source revealed that the next console’s GPU will be based on AMD’s Navi architecture. The CPU will have a custom variant of AMD’s Zen line. The source also revealed that any upcoming VR tech made for the next console will be created at the silicon level.
This is not the first time that another source suggested that the fifth iteration of the PlayStation console will have a 2018 release date. This particular source predicted that Sony will release the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. Another source suggested that the next version will be launched in 2020.
