There was a new PS5 system software update released today and it seems to be safe to download and install.
A week ago, a small PS5 system software update was released and now, a new one, which seems to be more frequent now. Just like the previous update, it is rather small again. And just like as always, the patch notes on the support page do not say much about it. It still has the same detail:
- This system software update improves system performance.
The patch notes are probably right because after installation, nothing much happened to the console. Several PS5 console owners have attested that there was no major difference after the installation, so it could be just for maintenance. Therefore, it was a PS5 system software update that was safe to download and install.
