Resident Evil Village game director revealed that the upcoming DLC for the game will bring big changes to the game including the height of a certain tall and busty woman.
Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose DLC Additions
Shadows of Rose DLC will introduce a new story for Resident Evil Village, 16 years after the story of Ethan Winters and now will be taken over by his daughter Rose Winters. Aside from that, it will add new content to existing game modes like in Mercenaries. It also introduces the third-person mode for the main game and the DLC.
Lady D’s Heigh an Issue
In Mercenaries, there is a change for a certain character. Game Director Kento Kinoshita recently spoke with media outlet Polygon to talk about that new change, which involves the new additional character Lady Dimitrescu. He revealed that at first they did not make any changes to her physically, but some issues came up. She was tall in the game at 9’6” in height and posed a problem when she got added to Mercenaries. She would bump into the ceiling, which caused game issues and bugs.
Maker Her Shorter to Fix Problems!
In order to combat this problem, Lady D has now become shorter in Mercenaries only. Instead of 9’ 6”, she is now 9 feet in order to make her playable in the game’s technical parameters. It is interesting to know that her character model’s height actually hinders her movement and causes problems in game. It just made it a bit more realistic rather than just making it go through the ceilings to compensate and make it look buggy.
New Unlockables to Discover
Kinoshita also revealed that the Shadows of Rose DLC will introduce 20 new unlockables for players in the Mercenaries game mode. This will include in-game weapons like the LZ Answerer and more.
Resident Evil Village is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Shadows of Rose DLC comes out on October 28, 2022.
