In the recent livestream event of Sonic The Hedgehog, a couple of huge announcements were made during this event. In order to celebrate 30 years of Sonic the Hedgehog, SEGA has collaborated with some of its major titles such as Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Two Point Hospital and the their upcoming game, Lost Judgement. Not only that, lost Sonic Themed games will be getting a huge upgrade and much more.
Here are the following info the livestream of Sonic the Hedgehog 30th anniversary has presented to many fans and gamers around the world:
1.) Online Symphony of compilation of Sonic BGMs
- On June 23, 2021, a free online Symphony of Sonic The Hedgehog music throughout the years will be presented and played for many fans. Many musical guests such as Crush 40 DJ Master Tomoya Ohtani and others will be playing mostly Sonic Themed BGMs. The musical event will be free everyone.
2.) SEGA tokyo 2020 Avatar costume of Sonic
- SEGA proudly announced avatar costumes for their sports game Tokyo 2020 Olympics where players can dress up as the blue hedgehog, Sonic and compete in many different sports in the game. The avatar set will be available on June 22, 2021
3.) Two Point Hospital Sonic Themed Game options
- Two Point Hospital is a 2018 business simulation game developed by SEGA and now will be getting extra DLC content as players can used Sonic Themed Items in the game. Decorate buildings with Sonic Memorabilia such as carpets, statues and tables plus have their doctors and nurses wear Sonic Characters such as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. The DLC will be out on July 30, 2021.
4.) Lost Judgement Aracde game of Sonic The Fighters
- Lost Judgement, the latest Yakuza spin off game, has teased that a classic Sonic game will be arriving within game as players can explore inside the SEGA arcades and play classic SEGA games. One of the classic Sonic games that will be playable is Sonic Fighters, a 1996 fighting versus game that was first released in the arcades then on Game Cube. Players can play this classic game on the same as the release of Lost Judgement on September 24, 2021.
5.) Sonic Colors Ultimate
- Sonic Colors was first released on 2020 for the Wii & Nintendo DS and now, a new announcement for it was made where fans can play it again as a remastered for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 7, 2021. Players will be getting tons of freebies and DLC content if they preordered the game at their local game store.
6.) Sonic Colors Rise of the Wisp Summer 2021
- To celebrate not only the 30th anniversary of everyone’s favorite blue furball, but also the release of Sonic Colors Ultimate. SEGA has announced a two part animation short film project.
7.) Sonic Remastered Games
- SEGA also plans to release a remastered collection of Sonic Games called Sonic Origins. The 1st 5 Sonic games, “Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic CD,” will be remastered and be playable for all in the near future.
8.) Sonic Prime
- Man Of Action, Creators of Ben 10, Generator Rex and more, has given fans a status update on their production of their latest series, Sonic Prime. More info will be out in the near future as it hits on Netflix 2022.
9.) Sonic New Game teaser announcemnet for 2022
- At the end of livestream, the creators of Sonic has teased a new Sonic game coming soon for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, S, Nintendo Switch and PC on 2022. More info will be available for it in the near future as many fans will be excited to see this new game come out soon.
