Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment recently filed another patent for a cartridge with a different design.
Sony Interactive Entertainment new patent revealed
The new patent is for another cartridge, but it seems to look different than the one that was revealed last year.
LetsGoDigital, the ones who discovered the first PlayStation 5 dev kit, found this new patent on Brazilian Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial website or INPI. This application was filed in June 2019 and was just published last week on Nov. 5.
The translation revealed that the cartridge designer is Yujin Morisawa, who is the senior art director at SIE’s Corporate Design Center. He has been serving the company for 15 years already.
There is no English version of the patent, but there should one later on.
