Game publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that there will be more content coming for online multiplayer game series The Division.
Since game studio Massive, the guys responsible for the development of The Division series, is now working on a new Star Wars game, it was speculated that the latest title will not be getting any more content. Some thought that it will be left behind so that the developers could focus more on their new project.
Ubisoft proved this wrong with the new investor’s call for Q3 FY2020-21 earnings reveal. The publisher reiterated that there will be new content for the franchise and it will be coming this year and in the next. There was no explanation after that, but it sounds like there is a new title in the works or there could be more expansions or DLCs coming for The Division 2.
CEO Yves Guillemot stated:
The Massive studio is a large studio, and they are also collaborating with lots of studios all over the world… You’re going to see more on The Division in this year and the year after.
It could also mean that Massive will still continue to support The Division series despite them working on a new game. This could be just new updates or content that could keep the game fresh.
