B.J Blazkowicz is back and this time in the Nazi-controlled USA. MachineGames is taking a step-forward in their sequel for The New Order, and will provide tons of new interesting stuffs for players to experience.
In an interview with GamesMaster (Issue 321, October 2017), MachineGames’ Creative Director Jens Matthies shared some exciting details about the new experiences that players will get. With the new game engine, Matthies said that it’s going to me more immersive and he reassures that the game will still feel like the Wolfenstein.

“We were happy with how the first game felt. But we switched engines, so we rebuilt every system including AI and player movement,” says Matthies. “It still feels like Wolf, but there’s tons of new stuff happening. If a grenade goes off near you, you’ll fall to the ground but can still keep shooting. Things like this make the combat feel more immersive, but we want to retain the feeling of the original game. We’re just evolving and polishing it.”[/alert]
Matthies also shared that Frau Engel (remember the short-haired blonde Nazi officer?) will apparently be the main villain in their final entry of the Wolfenstein trilogy. He also confirms that this Wolfenstein reboot is going to be a trilogy.

“We always wanted to make a trilogy, and we set Engel up in the first game so that she could be the main villain in the next one,” says Matthies. “She’s played by Nina Franoszek, an amazing actor, and she brought a lot to the character. She took it to a whole new level.”[/alert]
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will launch this October 27 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version is slated to launch some time in 2018.
