According to a new report, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S will be getting a new Edge browser.
Microsoft is currently testing this new Edge Browser in the Alpha Skip-Ahead group. They are now able to test this brand-new browser with ease and feedback suggests it is faster and better than the rest.
This test browser still lacks mouse and keyboard support, it does offer an upgrade from the previous one that was default on the consoles. It was really bad and slow so not many Xbox owners used it.
According to media outlet Thurrott, the new browser is the same one that can be found on Windows 10. It offers smoother and easier handling compared to the original browser. It also has support extensions, vertical tabs, Collections, and other Edge desktop features.
This will also run on Google Stadia, which allows users to play Stadia games via their Xbox if they want to.
There is no date yet when this will be implemented to the public.
