Microsoft has released a new update that allows Xbox Insiders to stream gameplay directly to Discord.
Xbox Insider members are now enjoying a new feature with Discord, which allows them to stream all of their gameplay footage directly on Discord. The members that can enjoy this are the ones on the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha. They will be the ones to test this out first before it will be released to the public.
After tests get completed, Xbox will then roll out the feature to all console owners. It is revealed that it will be coming soon for everyone. No specific date has been shared yet.
The official Xbox Wire blog said that players will be able to stream games to their Discord friends by just choosing the Stream Your Game option.
“To get started, you can join voice channels from your Discord servers directly from your Xbox console when your Discord account is linked,” the article explains. “To try it, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, scroll to Parties & Chats, and select Discord. Then scroll through your available Discord servers and pick a voice channel and start streaming.”
“We’re excited to hear your feedback as you try it out and just as excited for what the future holds for Xbox and Discord.”
