Game company NIS America recently released the official story trailer of upcoming western version of video game Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
The newest trailer features the story of Adol before and during the happenings of the ninth installment. It starts with him and Dogi coming to Balduq, but he was suddenly pulled aside by the guards and accused him of being a spy. He was then thrown into prison to wait further instructions.
This is where the mysterious woman Aprilis appears before him and turns him into a Monstrum and giving him strange powers. He disguises himself and allies with odd companions in his journey to know the truth behind the strange city.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox will launch on February 2, 2021 on PlayStation 4. PC and Nintendo Switch versions coming Summer 2021.
