Microsoft’s popular $1 Xbox Game Pass Trial offer has officially ended.
This particular offer has been running for many years already which lets players try out Xbox Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass for a month. Subscribers only need to pay $1 for it. After a month, players will be able to either cancel their subscription or continue it but now they will have to pay the standard fee.
Microsft has now shared a statement with The Verge to confirm that the trial is no longer being offered. Xbox Head of Global Communications Kari Perez said, “We have stopped our previous introductory offer for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass and are evaluating different marketing promotions for new members in the future.”
Some speculate that this cancellation of the $1 promo is due to the current Microsoft x Activision Blizzard deal. Others think that the promo has now run its course and it was just time for it to expire. Microsoft has not explained the reason for the termination of the promo.
