One thing is for sure with Warzone, you won’t be lacking players to fight against. On the day Warzone debuted, this Call of Duty free-to-play battle royale has attracted more than 6 million players. This really shouldn’t be much of a surprise, considering how popular the Call of Duty name already is. And with a new free-to-play battle royale available for practically everybody, it was inevitable that Warzone would see such a big number of players on day one.
To compare this numbers with last years most successful battle royale who debuted around February of 2019, Apex Legends had about 2 million players on the day of its release. Warzone has officially broken that record with 4 million players ahead.
Should you be interested in giving Warzone a shot, it is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One for free. If you do not own Modern Warfare, it is not necessary to download the battle royale game separately. No PS Plus or Xbox Live is required to fully experience the game. But you’d better watch out, Warzone is around 100GB which is pretty demanding for your storage.
