Fallout 76 players who have played the game on Bethesda.net Launcher can claim the same copy on Steam for free.
Fallout 76 free to get on Steam for Bethesda players
Some good news for Bethesda.net Launcher players of 76. If they have the game on the launcher, then they can get a free copy of the game so they can play on Steam. They have to hurry though because it is only for a limited time.
The promo will start now until April 12. Players have the chance to get the game on Steam with the Wastelanders update, which is also free to download. They only need to link their Steam accounts to the Bethesda.net account. When the Steam version arrives, it will be available right away on their libraries.
There are some caveats to this move. Players will not get their Atoms or Fallout 1st membership balance between the two launchers. The Atoms are only specific to one platform or the other. So be careful. The good flipside to this is that the items that were purchased via the Atomic Shop will be available on both. So grab the items now until the Atoms are gone from your account.
Some bonus things too. From April 14-28, if Steam account holders buy 76 there, they can get the Fallout Classic Collection for free. The titles included are 1, 2 and Tactics. Do not worry: the ones who got their free Steam copy will also get these titles.
The Steam version will launch on April 12. The Wastelanders update will launch on April 14.
So hurry and grab the chance right now!
