Dirt Rally 2.0, Other PC Games Features Advice For Staying At Home

Dirt Rally 2.0

Several PC games like Dirt Rally 2.0 recently added a feature that advices its gamers to stay at home during these pandemic times.

Dirt Rally 2.0 advertising makes you stay home

Game company Codemasters recently told BBC News that the advertising that everyone saw in the game is geo-targeted, which meant only the UK players can see it. It was their way to tell their gaming community to stay at home so that they can be safe from the coronavirus pandemic. There could be a chance that this advertisement will be extended to the rest of the western world.

There are other games that have safety advice ads added in-game like Sniper Elite 4 and Candy Crush Saga. The Sniper Elite developer Rebellion chief executive Jason Kingsley actually talked with UK’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport to make this possible. The group is now asking other developers and publishers to do the same thing.

This is a big part for the gaming companies to contribute in order to make their gaming communities stay safe in these scary and depressing times. Stay at home guys and just play games to pass the time.
