Xbox Series X Pre-Orders Might Get Cancelled by Retailers Due To Low Stock

According to a recent report, some UK retailers have been emailing customers in regards to the Xbox Series X pre-orders possibly getting cancelled.

In a recent report by VGC, UK retailer ShopTo has been emailing their customers and saying that there is a chance that their pre-orders will be cancelled. The reason for this is that the stocks that they have ordered from the suppliers might not be enough to cover all of their pre-orders.

Here is what the email reads:

We have received the allocation details from Microsoft and, unfortunately, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to fulfil your pre-order on day one/release date.

Note that it reads that delivery might be happening on day one so that means there could be stocks at a later date, but on the first day, they will not get their next-gen Xbox consoles.

ShopTo is also one of the same retailers that had to email the customers that the PS5 pre-orders might not also be delivered on day one. They even offered that a PS5 Digital Edition of that becomes available.

At least the retailer is honest that pre-orders might be cancelled, but it does not help the fact that some of them might not get it on the day it was promised. There could be refunds for this as an apology, but it still hurts to get that most anticipated pre-order cancelled in just a few days before release date.
