After the announcement of the Resident Evil Showcase that will happen next week, CAPCOM quietly revealed a new website that include information about the upcoming closed beta test of a mystery multiplayer game. It had the schedule for joining and the closed beta itself.

The closed beta test will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles only. Testers need to have a CAPCOM ID and should be linked to the Resident Evil Ambassador program. They also need to register on January 14 to January 25. The first deadline will be January 20 while its announcement for selection is January 22. The second one will be January 25 with its corresponding announcement on January 27.

The closed beta test operating times will only be two days from January 28 to 29 (depending on time zones).

What this new Resident Evil multiplayer game is anyone’s guess right now. Some say it is based from the main series. Others say it is a spin-off like the one from the past and could be a sequel to that. Some even say it is the expansion for the recent multiplayer game Resident Evil Resistance.
