Back 4 Blood Dev Team Wants Ongoing Content After Launch

The makers of the popular online multiplayer zombie shooter Left 4 Dead series, Turtle Rock Studios Co-Founder and Design Director Chris Ashton shared some important details on the latest PC Gamer UK Magazine (April 2021 Issue) for its upcoming game Back 4 Blood and its future content.

Turtle Rock Studios has been adamant that if they are going to have microtransactions, it will be cosmetics-only. It will not affect the core gameplay and everyone will be able to enjoy Back 4 Blood in its raw, zombie shooter action.

Ashton did say that the development team wanted to have ongoing content after Back 4 Blood launches in full game. They are still in the planning phase for this, but there are already some contents that can be ongoing like the new cards, Cleaners, or weapons on a regular basis. The weapons, of course, will not have increased stats, but only reskins.

There are a lot of popular live service games now and this is a big competition for Back 4 Blood, hopefully there will be a solid player base so that it can catch up with the contenders.

Back 4 Blood will launch on June 22 for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
