It has been confirmed that on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth the regions will be the same from the original but it will have a difference.
When the whole gang emerge from the city of Midgar and go outside to the world from Final Fantasy VII Remake, it has been implied that players will be exploring the open world. Just like in the original, this will be the time where players will be able to go around and visit certain regions like Kalm, The Gold Saucer, Cosmo Canyon, and other regions.
In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, it will be the same where players can explore the whole world and discover such nostalgic locations, but it will not have the same order. This has been confirmed by Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura in an interview. This is probably the only difference on Rebirth as he revealed that they are trying to be as faithful to the original. “Nothing will be cut or shortened,” he said.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches next year exclusively for PS5.
