Warhammer 40K Boltgun is a boomer shooter set in the dark futuristic setting of the Warhammer 40K universe. The game is a throwback to games of yesteryear, most notably the original Doom games. It doesn’t have modern features like color-graded loot or RPG stats. But it doesn’t need much beyond an enemy as a means of killing said enemy.
In this Warhammer 40K Boltgun achievements/trophy guide, we’ll tell you what you need to know in order to get all the achievements/trophies in the game.
There are a total of 12 trophies to collect in the game. Unfortunately, there is no Platinum to earn for this one. But it should prove to be a classically hard game to get all the trophies.
- 1 Gold Trophy

The achievement/trophy run for this game is going to be an old-school affair. You’ll need to complete the game on Exterminatus difficulty to get the game’s only Gold trophy. Assuming everything goes accordingly, you automatically get the other trophies that are tied to difficulty.
Don’t let the three chapters fool you. There are multiple levels in each chapter and they will take you upwards of 8-10 hours to finish the game. Along the way, different weapons will become available to you. But don’t expect a fundamental change in how you approach the game. It doesn’t matter if you have a bolter or a plasma gun, they all die all the same. It’s more of preference than of tactical use.
The secrets are what’s going to take you the most time. Like in Doom, they can be hidden in some of the most awkward places on the map. And you could be right next to the entrance of one without you knowing it.
- There are more or less 20 secrets in Chapter 1
- There are more or less 13 secrets in Chapter 2
It should be noted that if you restart a level, all progression will be lost. That means you’ll have to restart the entire chapter again and collect the secrets from scratch.
And finally, the Lord of Change and the Great Unclean One are bosses in the game. A mid-game and final boss, respectively. As far as we know, there’s no difficulty tied to this one. So killing the bosses in “The Emperor Protects” difficulty is more than enough.
And that’s everything we have right now on getting all the trophies in Warhammer 40K Boltgun. We’d say that the hardest part of the whole process is not missing a single secret. The rest of the game is all about dealing with the abominations of the Warp! The Emperor Protect, Space Marine.
