Castlevania: Nocturne Set in French Revolution
Based on the clip, the protagonist is Richter Belmont and in his younger years, his mother gets into a fight against a peculiar vampire, but it ends in tragedy. After killing her mother, this vampire somehow spares Richter and taunts him to get his revenge at a later time. Then it transitions to new scenes which showed new characters both vampires and new hunters that are allies of Richter. The cutscenes were too fast though, but it did establish the setting of this new series: the French Revolution, which is quite different from the games Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night.
