NBA 2K24 Becomes Second Worst Rated Steam Ever

It has been reported that the recently launched NBA 2K24 is now the second-worst-rated Steam game of all time.

After a big backlash from PC gamers, NBA 2K24 has gotten an “overwhelmingly negative” user review on Steam. This was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. This has now unfortunately achieved a “negative” milestone at launch.

There is now a long list of complaints for the PC version which includes not being on par with the new-gen consoles, while the other series are doing alright. Cheating is still rampant, even with the latest entry of the NBA 2K series. Worst of all, there is a lack of cross-play in key modes.

One PC player shared a review saying: “I stopped playing the game with the release of 2K22. I wanted to give 2K another chance after two years and once again, I was disappointed. The gameplay and animations are the same as in the previous versions. Once again, there’s only the current-gen version available for PC, which I don’t understand. The main menu and the textures of the park still look very cheap as always. What annoys me the most is the abundance of cheaters in the park since day one.

    “Purchase recommendation, definitely no!”

Before this new negative feedback, the game across all versions had been criticized for its aggressive microtransactions.

NBA 2K24 is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch
