Game lead designer Joe Shely recently confirmed that the upcoming video game sequel Diablo IV will feature cosmetic microtransactions.
Diablo IV microtransactions is real
In a recent gameplay stream on popular streaming site Twitch, Shely revealed that the fourth title will be available as a base game and there will be some expansions later on. She then confirmed that there will be some cosmetics to acquire in the game. It will have some kind of a storefront and the cosmetic microtransactions will offer an opportunity to have more options available.
Shely confirmed in the past that Blizzard will not sell Power. This meant that they will not monetize on pay to win transactions. It will only revolve on cosmetics.
The game still has no release date announced. It was confirmed that it will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
