According to a new report, it seems the rumor last time about a big announcement coming on the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Remake concert was mistranslated.
Sorry guys, it seems the one who posted on Twitter mistranslated the post by Square Enix. According to a Reddit user, the Twitter post with Co-Director Motomu Toriyama was only about him sharing the backstory on the FFVII: Remake soundtrack. It was not about an announcement that a new content or something else will be revealed during the concert.
It is still true that Toriyama will be making an appearance and hold a special program before the concert though. It is up to him if he will be making a surprise announcement during that time or it will be just some ceremony to introduce everyone to the game lore and soundtrack. We will have to wait and see what happens this weekend.
Some commentors on the Reddit thread think that there will be an announcement of some kind. Others are saying to lower their expectations so they would not be disappointed. Others are speculating that it could be an announcement of the game coming to new platforms like PC and Xbox.
Final Fantasy VII: Remake is now available exclusively on PlayStation 4.
