CEO and Founder Jade Raymond has recently announced her newly-founded Haven Entertainment Studios, a Montreal-based independent studio.
Raymond has been in the gaming industry for over 25 years now and has led different teams and studios in developing two highly successful original IPs from the ground up. Some of her works include Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Watch Dogs. She has been producer and executive producer for those titles in the past.
After working for Ubisoft, Raymond has now come to a conclusion to go back to what she loves to do most and in a way that gives her team the freedom to explore, inspire, and create. This led to the founding of her new independent studio Haven.
This new studio of Raymond houses many of her talented game developers that she has worked with for years already. They have come together to do what they are most passionate about. They are most likely going to create mostly single player games and they will gain the back of Sony Interactive Entertainment for this endeavor.
Aside from announcing their newest independent studio Haven, Raymond has announced that they are already working on an unannounced IP. This could possibly be exclusive to the PlayStation consoles or maybe for the new-gen PS5.
