The Monster Hunter Rise PC version will be coming out soon on January 12, 2022 and unfortunately, it comes with some sad news as Capcom has announced that they won’t be able to implement cross-save and cross-play functionality when the game launches but leaves some hope as they stated “we are unable to implement it this time.”
The official Monster Hunter Twitter account made the following statement, “We’ve heard your requests for Cross-Save / Cross-Play for #MHRise & #Sunbreak, but unfortunately, after looking into it throughout the development process, we found we are unable to implement it this time. As always, we appreciate your continued feedback and support.”
So for those of you who wanted to continue their adventure of Monster Hunter Rise on the PC for whatever reason, are out of luck and will have to go back to square one of the grind. It is also equally as sad for those who only want to play the game on a specific platform but have friends who play on the other platform as they won’t be able to go out on monster hunting adventures together.
Though there is still a chance for the developers to be able to implement these features somewhere down the road but whether or not we’ll ever get it in the near or far off future remains a mystery.
Monster Hunter Rise was released on March 26, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch with the PC version coming out next year on January 12, 2022. An expansion is also being planned for release sometime in summer 2022 for both the PC and Switch versions and is called Sunbreak.
Monster Hunter Rise was reviewed here in Sirus Gaming and garnered a score of 8/10. The reviewer, Jarren Navarrete, had this to say, “If you love thinking strategically and taking time to prepare, then this game might just be for you! There’s an exciting thrill to fighting larger beasts as you grind your equipment in preparation for the hunt. In this, Rise gets an excellent mark with our full recommendation to buy it.”
