Game company Ubisoft recently announced that they have finally released the second episode of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Legacy of the First Blade.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC 2nd episode launch
The second episode of the DLC is called Shadow Heritage which includes new abilities for each skill tree branch. Players will need to have completed the previous Hunted episode in order for them to progress in the story.
Players will be set on a new adventure after they get a letter from Darius. They will be fighting a new enemy called The Tempest. She is a woman who is very skilled in naval battles and even commands her own fleet.
Apology from Ubisoft
After the launch of Shadow Heritage, several players were outraged about a certain feature in the DLC that forced them to do something regardless of the choices. The developers issued an apology statement right away, which can be read below:
We strive to give players choice whenever possible in Odyssey and apologise to those surprised by the events in this episode. Without spoiling it, you will engage in an important relationship as part of a set story. The motivation behind this relationship is yours to explore in game and will be reflected in your character’s story arc. There is one episode left in Legacy of the First Blade which will tie your character’s actions together.
We don’t want to reveal too much right now, but we have always tried to keep the story inclusive of people of all sexual orientations, and players will be able to choose their motivations behind this particular narrative depending on their sexual preferences,
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was developed by people of all sexual orientations, backgrounds, genders and beliefs, and we have tried to reflect that within the game.
The game is now available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
