Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Patch Introduces More Problems Instead of Fixes

The newest patch for video game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla seems to have made things worse instead of fixing the problems.

According to the reports from ResetEra, latest patch version 1.0.4 was supposed to be one of the biggest patches for AC Valhalla and could have fixed a lot of errors. It seems it has now introduced more of them and a lot of fans are already reporting them in droves. Xbox Series S had the biggest benefits though as the newly added performance and visual fidelity modes made it run at a stable framerate.

The PS5 version got it worse now with performance mode dropping to 40fps at times. Some think there are now more bugs appearing, which could be the cause of the slowdown. Others think that it is just that the hardware could not handle the effects of the game anymore.

Digital Foundry John Linneman confirmed these reports with his own tests. The patch just made it worse for the PS5.

Another report revealed that the Xbox Series X issue of screen tearing still remains. Even though the patch was meant to fix it, it seems it is still there according to many players. They did clarify that it is not that common anymore compared to before.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
