Atari recently at the Game Developers Conference finally revealed the official name of their upcoming hardware platform: Atari VCS. The game company gave it the code name Ataribox before. They are proud to present their own console to compete other well-known companies like Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft.
Contents and description
The game company discussed that the contents of the whole package will include a retro joystick and a modern controller. It will include nostalgic retro games that old fans will recognize. They are aiming to make their upcoming console to be compatible with today’s recent displays.
The company promised that it will change how players will interact with their TV. They want their buyers to experience how the old fans played their old consoles like the Atari 2600 Video Computer System 40 years ago.
New logo and pre-order date reveal
Atari revealed a new logo together with the new video game console. It has the word Atari with the color blue and a sleek lettering design of the VCS word with multiple colors. Atari also discussed that the official announcement of the console’s pre-order date will be in April 2018.
