Larian Studios has recently announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 character customization is currently in development.

According to the studio, the ability to change the appearance of a character in the game is “being cooked.” This is the ability for players to change a character’s appearance after the first customization at the start of the game. This will finally remove the worries of fans who spent a lot of time in character creator only to find out that when a cutscene appears, the design is not what they wanted.

The upcoming “mid-game” character customization was confirmed by Larian Director of Publishing Michael Douse on his official Twitter account. Many players have been “begging” for this feature to be added to the game and it was finally confirmed by Douse to be “being cooked”.

So far, Larian Studios has released various hotfixes for the game to introduce quality-of-life changes, improvements, and fixes. More are coming and this new feature might get added soon too.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PC while consoles are coming later.
