Potential Baldur’s Gate 3 DLC Being Discussed by Devs

The studio is currently focused on releasing the console version of the game.

Larian Studios is now discussing the potential of expanding the game with Baldur’s Gate 3 DLC.

Senior Product Manager Tom Butler recently spoke with IGN that the studio is currently focused on launching the console version of Baldur’s Gate 3 with PS5 first then later on Xbox Series X (since they dropped Series S). After that, the studio will be occupied with patching the base game.

Butler then said that the studio is actually discussing how to expand the game and it could be via DLC.

“We’ll carry on patching for a while and then we’re all going to take a holiday and then we’ll figure out what we do next,” he said. “But at the moment, we genuinely have discussions. We want to do more. We don’t know what yet.”

Previously, the first major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 was released which addressed over 1000 bugs, balancing, flow issues, and more. Patch 2 is on the way and it will improve.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PC. PS5 coming on September 6, 2023 while the Xbox Series X version will be available later this year.
