Larian Studios has recently announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 3 delayed just for a bit.
Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 3 has been delayed for just a bit, from September 21, 2023 to tomorrow, September 22, 2023. The studio did hint that it could be delayed even further due to the patch itself.
In a recent Twitter post, the studio described the new patch as “a big one”, and said that it delayed the patch release to ensure thorough testing. Larian Chief Swen Vincke did say this: “Cross fingers for patch 3 – it’s going through its final round of QA today and if it passes, we can release it tomorrow. You can do this patch 3!”
Patch 3 will launch together with the full support for the game on Mac. It is hoped to address ongoing performance issues specifically on Act 3 on PC and console. Man fans were complaining of various bugs happening in this particular act so this new patch will hopefully remove those problems and enjoy gameplay smoothly. Unfortunately, this new patch will not remove ALL problems yet, but at least more issues have been mended.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PC and PS5. Xbox Series X/S version will be released later in the fall of 2023.
