Tongue of Madness is one of the key items for a quest in Baldur’s Gate 3. This type of fungi is only grown in one particular place in the Underdark and it is an ingredient for a concoction that is supposed to help get rid of the parasite. Read ahead as we share where to get the Tongue of Madness in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where is the Tongue of Madness in Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Tongue of Madness in BG3 can be found in the upper floor of the Arcane Tower located in the Underdark. To reach the room where the Tongue of Madness is in, you can either take the front door by disabling the turrets, or take the alternate route around the tower.
Taking the alternate route will require you to have a character that can can use the Grant Flight ability, or someone that can leap. Starting from the front door, go to the south side near the turret and approach the edge. From here, you can fly and land on the mushroom platform that grows on the side of the tower. Next, jump on the next platform until you reach the back side (west side) of the tower where you will see a glowing blue tree.
Before heading to the tree, make sure to open the back door of the tower first, especially if you need to open it using spells. Once the door is open, grab one Sussur Bloom from the tree, then head inside the tower. Go around the power generator in the middle of the room and you will see a receptacle where you can place the Sussur Bloom. Placing the bloom on it will power up the elevator upstairs.
Take the stairs to the upper floor, then ride the elevator to the top. Then, go to the southwest corner where you will find the Tongue of Madness. On the northwest corner, check the shelves to get some Timmask Spores. Getting these two items should update the Help Omeluum Investigate the Parasite quest.
