The Call of Duty series is getting bigger and even more challenging. In the latest Xbox Game Show case event, Activision has announced the next Black Ops to be released soon, titled Call of Duty Blacks Op 7.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the latest installment in the Black Ops series, officially announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, this title continues the narrative from Black Ops II and Black Ops VI, set in the year 2035.

The single-player campaign follows David Mason, portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia, as he leads a covert Black Ops team against a new threat manipulating fear through advanced technology. New characters include Emma Kagan (Kiernan Shipka) and Mike Harper (Michael Rooker), both returning from previous entries. The story delves into themes of psychological warfare and the manipulation of information in a fractured geopolitical landscape.
Multiplayer features a blend of traditional and innovative elements:
- Omnimovement returns with enhancements, including wall-jumping and smoother animations.
- Classic modes like Uplink, Face Off, and Gunfight are available.
- Networked perks allow shared abilities among players.

The Zombies mode introduces:
- Round-based gameplay with one of the series’ largest maps.
- Transportation systems similar to the Tranzit mode.
- 8-player co-op support enhances collaborative play.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will be released next year 2026, on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Xbox Game Pass. More info about the game will be revealed soon.
