Infinity Ward’s Paul Haile has recently confirmed that the PC update for popular video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will allow players to do something with its file size.
Many fans and interested players have been complaining about the increasing large file size of the game with the many updates it has gotten. It currently sits around 200GB, which can really take up a lot of space in the PC hard drive.
Haile confirmed in his official Twitter account that a new update is coming soon and that will ease the pain of the fans. It will allow them to uninstall options of the game, which then make the file size more bearable this time. The size will get lesser with some of the unnecessary options out of the way. An example of those options would be the entire single-player campaign, which takes up a lot of space. Uninstalling it would definitely lessen the file size immensely.
Unfortunately the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will not get this type of treatment. Some are still hoping that they can get that kind of update later on. Maybe Infinity Ward can figure that out in the near future.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
