Insider Says Certain Persona Project Development Still Happening

And Atlus would capitalize on both versions.

A reputable insider is certain that one Persona project development is still ongoing.

It has been announced that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are coming to new modern platforms. There have been rumors about other titles in development despite these two games launching, but it seems they are persistent.

Popular forums ResetEra had its users speculating on what future Persona announcements will be coming next this year. One user mentioned the rumor of the Persona 3 Remake, a possible new version of the original Persona 3 title instead of the Persona 3 Portable. It is the hope of many fans that two original titles (Persona 3 and Persona 3 FES) would be remade and possibly merged. Another ResetEra user, insider lolilolailo quickly responded that the Persona 3 Remake is real and the development is still ongoing.

When asked for the reason for Atlus to re-release Persona 3 Portable when a remake is in the works, they simply said it is because Atlus. And that would be correct since Atlus would usually capitalize on both versions. P3P would launch on modern consoles while the new remake would offer beautiful visuals comparable or better than Persona 5. And let us be honest, fans would easily buy that remake in a heartbeat. It happened with Persona 5 PS5 version, why not on Persona 3 Remake?

The insider did not say that the Persona 3 Remake would be released this year. It could be at a later time. Still, fans would wait with bated breath for the official announcement.

Persona 3 Portable launches on January 19, 2023. It will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS5.
